MODERN WORKPLACE

The use of any kind of work equipment (e.g. PCs, laptops, tablets and smartphones) by users today is called Modern Workplace.

This involves accessing files, e-mails and other data via the devices. This data is now in the cloud.

In addition, the focus is increasingly on fast and flexible communication and collaboration in the context of chats, online meetings or the joint editing of documents.

Modern Workplace solutions are usually cloud-based, e.g. with Microsoft's Azure Active Directory.

Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Teams are good examples of tools in a Modern Workplace.

As a result, users work together more efficiently and productively and workplace satisfaction is also significantly increased.

In order to meet these requirements technically, strong solutions for software management in particular are necessary.

Microsoft Autopilot

With Autopilot, you ensure extremely easy initial and reinstallation of newly deployed devices without even having to "touch" them in the IT department. In order to use Autopilot, some requirements must be met: Azure Active Directory Premium P1 or P2, a Mobile Device Management e.g. Microsoft Intune (or a software distribution solution like SCCM or DSM) and as client operating system Windows 10 Professional, Enterprise or Education version 1709 or higher.

Intune

Intune is the modern complete solution for Windows 10 based device management with device management, application lifecycle control and user provisioning. Intune also requires an Azure Active Directory and works through the cloud. The benefits of Intune are brief: Simple and centralized management of apps and mobile devices. Central cloud platform for MDM and MAM. No separate infrastructure and hardware required for MDM and MAM. Uniform implementation of data protection and compliance guidelines on mobile devices. Protection against data loss.

Many end devices cannot be moved to the cloud at short notice (e.g. production computers). Here we offer a hybrid approach, which on the one hand provides an entry into cloud-based management, but on the other hand continues to supply devices with software using on-premise solutions (in particular Microsoft SCCM and Ivanti DSM). Thus, the path to cloud-based Modern Management or Modern Workplace can be taken in appropriate steps without having to accept restrictions in functionality.
